If you are an ice hockey player and are new to roller hockey:
- Roller Hockey provides a huge benefit to ice players, even in the off season. Roller Hockey is played 4 on 4, with roster sizes of 6-8 players, meaning players get significantly more ice time along with puck time. There is no offsides or icing in roller hockey, which allows for more creativity and opportunity for plays to develop.
- Many ice hockey players have played roller hockey sometimes year round or just in the summer and have gone on to play elite level ice hockey! We are proud to have Michigan natives Tyler Spezia (Grand Rapids Griffins, AHL), Brandon Hawkins (Toledo Walleye, ECHL), Alex Debrincat (Detroit Red Wings, NHL), Kris Vernarsky (Bostin Bruins, NHL), Alex Kile (University of Michigan, NCAA & Maine Mariners, ECHL), Garrett Ross (Chicago Blackhawks, NHL) and many others who have gone on to have great ice hockey careers along with playing roller hockey!

- For equipment based questions, please see the required equipment, but in general, the only difference is that shoulder pads are not typically worn as roller hockey does not allow body checking in any age group, along with no ice hockey pants or socks. Players will wear inline hockey pants, which you can find at any ice hockey store that sells equipment.
- Just like sharpening your blades are important for skating, inline hockey skates need specific hardness of wheels to be able to properly cut and skate! We highly suggest that whatever skate you will be using has indoor wheels of a durometer of 74 or lower. Again, this is just a recommendation!
Registration and Signing up for Leagues
What days and times do you offer leagues?
For more specific details regarding league offerings, including our youth house leagues, tournaments, and instructional programs, please see the offerings below. Normally the webpage or flyer will answer the majority of your questions.
What is the cost of the leagues?
The cost of the leagues is dependent on the program, total number of games, and day that you play. Typically our Leagues will run on Saturdays only, with no weekday times. Learn to Play and Instructional programs typically run Mondays from 4:40 PM to 5:30 PM. In our youth house leagues, we will normally have a weekly payment for the first 2 or 3 weeks to break down payments for parents rather than have a up front payment.
How do I find schedules, or what team is my child on?
- On our website menu, navigate to the Stats & Schedule portion and you can find all of our schedules to include Youth House! Parents are reminded to check their emails as they get confirmations with links to schedules and rosters!
