What wheels should I use?
The most asked question that we get is "What wheel should I be using on the floor?" While there is no standard answer, we can definitely suggest the following wheels and models for players:
- Our Joker floor is a fast, grippy floor and will benefit from higher end wheels that emphasize grip rather than durability. When considering what wheel to use, always remember that you need to be looking for the durometer of the wheel. Just because it says "indoor wheel" does NOT mean it will be enough for what you are looking for. We recommend wheels with a durometer of 74 or below for most adults, but depending on your play style as well as weight, you can go from 72 to 80 in the scale for durometer. Always check this before you purchase skates!
- For players who are looking for more grip and weigh less than 200 pounds, we can recommend the following models:
- Labeda: WHIP, Addiction, Millennium
- Konixx: Pure, Pulsar-X
- Rink Rat: Identity
- Revision Hockey: Flex, Recoil, Variant
- For players who are looking for more durability and weight more than 200 pounds, we can recommend the following models:
- Labeda: Gripper
- Rink Rat: Trickster
- Konixx: Pulsar-X, Pure +2 or +1,
- Revision Hockey: Variant STEEL
