Adult Program Season Changes

Announcing changes to our Adult Programs
(Adult Open & Veteran Leagues)

In an effort to continue to serve our customers, like many other programs in the country, we are now moving a 4 season format instead of the usual 3 season format at Fraser Roller Hockey League. This results in cheaper seasons for all players, less downtime between seasons and overall more games per year at FRHL! Please read below for more detailed information:

Veterans League:

  • Starting in the Summer Season (July 10th, 2025 to October 1st, 2025) all 45+ and 35+ leagues will no longer have divisional byes to accommodate other divisions. You will play every week unless a holiday forces us to not schedule games! We feel this change is the most important change to our players and we're excited to put this in place!
  • All 30 & Over Masters divisions starting in the Summer Season (July 10th, 2025 to October 1st, 2025) will now have a different schedule which will be released at a later date. This division will be capped to a smaller sized division and will primarily have 2 games on Monday and one on Wednesday. This will result in one game a week per team. FRHL Management will reach out to all teams affected by this near the middle of the upcoming season to discuss plans moving forward for all teams.

Adult Veteran Leagues Offerings & Registration

Adult 18+ Open Divisions:

  • Lower pricing per season due to the shift to four seasons per year!
  • Pricing is based on total games played, factoring in holiday weeks where teams won’t play. Some price variations may exist between different play days but will always be based on the total amount of games guaranteed per season(e.g., Tuesday vs. Thursday divisions).
  • Playoff eligibility & roster lock rules are changing—captains will receive details soon to ensure competitive playoffs.
  • With faster-moving seasons, teams must be ready to register promptly—expect increased demand due to smaller, more affordable seasons. Secure your spot early!
